Leadership sees reduced handle time and assumes progress is being made.


But reality is messier - The context is often missing. Customer identity is unclear. Product ownership isn’t obvious. Consent rules vary by channel and aren’t consistently enforced. Tickets get created, but without enough signal to drive real resolution. Just as important is how the AI communicates. Customers don’t want to hear “we’ll get back to you.” They want to know what’s happening now, what happens next, when they’ll hear back, and what they no longer need to do. Confidence comes from clarity, not optimism.


In this model, humans step in where judgment truly matters, not where automation failed. AI handles intake, clarity and momentum. Humans handle nuance, exceptions, and trust repair. That’s more than deflection; that’s resolution by design.
